With the outstanding aesthetics and ability, the design team focused on integrating the material into its special structure to create a healing vibe. The longitude entrance hallway presents a transition from prosperous city to the restaurant, putting customers into the unique dining atmosphere and creating the sense of ceremony. Customers can enjoy their meal in front of the chef’s worktop at the bar with the dish out area. They can closely see the meal preparation and the freshness of ingredients, establishing a friendly social atmosphere. This interaction between food and space fully presents the essence of Japanese cuisine, leading customers to the tranquil and natural realm.
The main design of the space is the restructure of the mortise and tenon and original material, widely using rock and old elm wood to build a tough and natural vibe. This combination of the ancient structure and natural material fully presents the principle of mortise and tenon. The rammed earth, cypress wood, ancient copper, DuPont paper and rattan weaving were cleverly selected and connected like mortise and tenon, riching the space with more texture. The low saturation color and hidden light design create a quiet and implicit Zen space, fully reflecting the Oriental restrained aesthetics. At the same time, through the artistic treatment of line, surface, virtuality and reality, the abstract art is transformed into concrete and perceptible spatial intention, showing the beauty of seclusion beyond the mundane.
