Design of Commercial Space
Project
Introduction
Today’s people do not see the ancient moon, but this month once illuminated the ancient courtyard houses in Beijing, where they stood still and had their own stories without needing to speak. A few strokes of ink painting depict mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas, which embodies the refined essence of Chinese aesthetics. Through spatial design, the existing space is simplified into a journey, a winding journey on a flat road, a journey with scenery everywhere, and a journey of finding oneself after spatial changes. Whether drinking, sleeping, eating, or singing, the space weaves these journeys into small worlds. In terms of time, gardens and quadrangle courtyards are ancient things, but any future contains the past. Time rolls forward and needs to be accelerated, slowed down, and equipped with seat belts. The design aims to express this spatial feeling, which is the reference for the bottom layer, the self-healing of the residents, and the genetic code of the Chinese people’s landscape life. From the moment you enter, the experience of Chinese classical gardens is infused – with twists and turns, appropriate density, and scenery in front of you. The entrance undergoes multiple twists and turns, with different heights as the rhythm of the space, essentially reorganizing people’s emotions through dense spatial sensations. Each door, at the moment of stepping in, withdraws from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, preparing to enter a new world with a sense of ceremony, which is the same as the pursuit of the birth and entry of ancient literati and officials. Each space has emotions that match its function, with blank space and implicit expression. Two of these are subjective settings in design, while the rest serve as mirrors, allowing viewers to see the possibility of their own cognition. The first of these two points is the design of the restaurant, with a round sky and a square ground, surrounded by starry rivers at the feet. Drinking and singing, “After getting drunk, I don’t know that the sky is in the water, and the boat is full of clear dreams pressing down on the stars”. Secondly, the walking path of space is interconnected and travels through multiple places. We want to extend the spatial path and hope that people can keep moving forward, looking forward, and not looking back during this ordinary yet great time.
