Introduction
The Mountain Villa is perched on the Yue Lu Mountain at an altitude of 170 meters. By resorting to the ecological barrier of Yue Lu Mountain, it seamlessly integrates the natural landscape of mountains and waters with the rich Hunan culture carried by the Yue Lu Mountain. It is designed to be a tranquil and culturally enriched dwelling for urban elites and successful individuals amid the hustle and bustle.
The “initial aspiration” of the design is to use the landscape as a medium to convey a sense of calm and elegance. The space does not deliberately pursue a particular form but places importance on the selection of materials and the use of artwork to enhance it. Through changes in touch, sight, and inner perception, the space is made to appear uniquely special.

Xu Lei, the Chief Designer of Zhijing Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd., is a member of the CTID China Interior Design Society, Hunan HIIID Architectural Interior Design Society, and Hunan Design Artists Association. He has been engaged in residential interior design for 18 years. Primarily focused on modern residential space design, he incorporates unique innovative concepts into his designs to actively create home environments with contemporary human emotions.
“Design is a form of expression, a means of communication, and above all, an experience,” is the philosophy that Xu Lei has long upheld. His designs emphasize the fusion of people, space, and emotions, with the goal of providing high-quality living spaces and satisfying the individualized needs of clients. He advocates integrated interior and architectural design, viewing interior design as an integral part of the overall architectural design to enhance the overall effect of spaces and the residential experience for clients.
With his outstanding design talent and years of practical experience, Xu Lei's design works have received widespread acclaim. His work has not only won numerous design accolades at both national and provincial levels but has also gained recognition in the industry. This includes receiving an Excellence Award at the 2020 International Color Interior Design Competition and an Excellence Award in the Residential Villa Project category at the 2020 Easyhome Cup Interior Design Competition. Additionally, he has received several provincial awards, such as the Gold Award in the Residential Project Examples category and the Silver Award in the Cultural, Educational, and Medical Project Examples category at the 2019 Hunan Province Peak Award for Architectural Interior Design Competition.
