“It is all about the clarity of design and the deliberate restraint to the essential ”
The sideboard SB11and the shelf KR11 were developed as a complement to the table KT11.
SB11:
Individual cabinets are sandwiched between horizontal solid wood slabs to combine into a single unit, which floats on top of a delicate steel lattice framework.
SB11 is available in several lengths and in custom color combinations of lacquered cabinet surfaces and a selection of natural wood finishes: oak, walnut or ash.
The SB11 can be easily converted into a storage rack by stacking multiple units.
Originally this sideboard was designed as an entertainment center that is capable of storing upright vinyl records.
The SB11 is also available with optional features such as cable management, ventilation openings for audio/video equipment inside, as well as hidden sleeves for power connections to devices placed on top of the unit.

Design by Christian Kroepfl

Christian Kroepfl:
Born in Western Austria I currently practice as an Architect and Designer in Vienna and Lustenau, where I develop and design high-quality design furniture.
In my design work the questions about functionality and quality as well as the use of natural and sustainable materials are in the centre of the development process. It’s all about the clarity of design and the deliberate restraint to the essential which averts superficial attention: modest, sophisticated and sometimes calm in nature, these pieces of furniture make a point that great design does not tolerate hierarchies or compromise in the interaction of form and function. Sometimes just the simple idea of a truss, and its expression through elegant design is the distinguishing feature of one of these jewels for your home or office.
Modern design, in particular combinations of steel and solid wood, resolves into timeless and aesthetic furniture that beautifies our everyday life.

IMPRESS-MILANO
Winner of 2023 Prize

Design of Commercial Space

Project
Introduction

The Impress Milano clinic is located in a privileged location, on the corner, facing south, in a well proportioned space.
The Impress dental clinic concept is aimed at a young audience, which has grown with new technologies, since its offer is based on online treatments that reduce face-to-face visits. From the first moment, Impress looked for a fresh design, that represented the brand and its values, that moved away from the clichés of a dental clinic (white colors, aseptic environment).
The design takes into account the values of Impress and solves the entire program through a single gesture that organizes all the spaces: a single curve runs along the inteior accompanying the turn of the corner, encompassing all the functional spaces towards the interior, and freeing the area in contact with the facade to function as a waiting room or reception, allowing a global view of the interior from the street.
The curve itself is the abstraction of the Impress logo. In this way, the clinic is represented towards the outside in a very abstract way, since there are no clues about the use of the rooms, and at the same time very theatrical, where red color dyes floors and ceilings, and is repeated in the curtains which subtly enclose the small spaces that function as sales points, also cladded with red carpet on the walls, and with the furniture resolved with MDF boards also colored in red.
The curve is materialized in pine wood, giving, on the one hand, warmth to the whole, but also material refinement. When entering the cabinets, when crossing the line of the curve in plan, the colors shift, reds turn white and vice versa, highlighting the transition between different ambiences by means of the material code. This is specially outlined in the two dental boxes at both ends, where the wood curve is interrupted and continued by curtains, creating gathering spaces towards the street and treatment spaces towards the interior.
This representative and theatrical aspect not in vain refers to Teatro alla Scala in Milano, resolved in the same tones.
All ceiling elements are rotated 45º, again echoing the corner position; mirrors cladd doors and duplicate the spaces, again adding complexity to the interior spatial experience; the furniture is always red; the dental chairs are red and white… all the elements have been taken care of in detail to reinforce the conceptual and material coherence of the design.
The rest of the rooms, more functional, such as dressing rooms, sterilization room, staff room, are resolved in the basement.

Design by Raúl Sánchez

Raúl Sánchez graduated architect from the architecture school in Granada, Spain. Since 2005 resides and works in Barcelona developing a professional activity which escapes specialization in order to cover all types of work and projects related to architecture, interiorism and design.
He is professor in ‘private perimeters’, a postgraduate diploma in interior design in Elisava School of Design, Barcelona.
The work of the office has numerous awards and is published worlwide in printed and online media.
Our approach to architecture and design is based on the encounter of humanism+technique: the former relies on the world of ideas, on the conceptual and cultural focus, while the latter brings the constructive coherence, the grammar, into the equation.
We don’t work with methods, we use no preconceived formulas, we just work with the space, and the space is the conjunction of material, construction, structure, light, color, texture… and thus, each new project is a new challenge

Renovation Design of Chengbei Resturant
Winner of 2023 Prize

Design of Catering Service

Project
Introduction

This interior design is a renovation of Cheng Bei Restaurant, a time-honored dining spot evolving over two decades.
Borrowing views from "Yushan", a culturally significant mountain in Changshu, this design subtly extends the mountain's silhouette into the urban vista, as if it's divided into three segments — each symbolizing a unique chapter of the restaurant's development course. Beyond merely crafting a harmonious and cohesive visual appeal, this approach further carves out a distinctive brand identity for the restaurant.
To address the dimness and narrowness of the passage leading from the entrance to the new private dining rooms, many of the solid walls have been replaced with transparent glass. This change invites more light, adding depth and layering to the visual experience. The corridor also doubles as a scenic corridor, with its irregular-sized segments transformed into sequential scenes, further enhanced by a staggered arrangement of landscape nodes. This innovative design approach elevates the overall ambience and infuses a touch of intrigue into the space.
Recognizing the local clientele's preference for spacious and grand banquet halls, the design team highlighted four central pillars within the irregular layout of this hall, transforming them into luminous features that act as captivating focal points. Further enhancing this ambiance is the dark-hued and arch-shaped ceiling, bolstering both the sense of symmetry and the overall visual allure.
Based on a insightful understanding of both the target customers' inclinations and the brand's positioning, the design team chose a path of thoughtful innovation to meet the restaurant owner's true needs, rather than completely discarding the past. This design approach not only resonates with the brand's core value but also weaves in rich local cultural elements.

Space Oddity
Winner of 2023 Prize

Design of Bathroom product

Project
Introduction

I wanted to create a premium spa with an instantly recognizable design, which plays with gravity, like a sculpture : Elegant silhouette, curved edges and capsular shapes give it its light and joyful appearance. An assumed "space age" look that refers to an era of freedom and carelessness. This spa had to be entirely made of marine stainless steel because of its aesthetic, hygienic and also ecological qualities: 100% recyclable material with a neutral impact on the environment and unrivaled durability.
The sober lines and the use of stainless steel magnify the environment in which Space Oddity is installed, whether indoors or outdoors, in a historic or contemporary place.
An aesthetic that does not concede anything to the comfort of use : ergonomic seat,soft-touch interior surface (glass microbeading), possibility of placing the jets and blowers on demand.
And finally the options such the choice of the grating (shape and material) and the color of the tank and make each Space Oddity unique.
